What is the iPhone SE 2020?
The second generation iPhone SE is a simple combination of the best aspects of other iPhone models. The SE 2020 combines the iOS and processor from the iPhone 11, the camera from the XR and the body from the iPhone 8.
The Perfect Size
As smartphones get larger and heavier Apple have a solution. The new iPhone is a neat 4.7 inches and weighs just 148 grams. Phones are meant to be portable after all!
The battery life for the new SE is similar to the current generation iPhone 8. It comes with Wireless Qi charging.
The iPhone SE comes in three flavours – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. The lowest storage size is usually the most popular, but to be future proof we recommend you keep an eye out for the 128GB version.
IP67 means the iPhone SE can survive being dropped into a body of water up to a meter deep for half an hour.
The iPhone SE comes in Black, White and Product(Red).
Product Red isn’t just a clever name, it raises money for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Amazing Camera Features
The A13 Bionic processor in the Apple iPhone SE (2020) has the most advanced camera software yet with a sophisticated Portrait mode that artfully blurs the background to put the focus on the subject.
4K Video recording means you can record in four times the detail of full HD. With QuickTake you can jump straight in by just holding down the shutter in photo mode.
Advanced Portrait Mode uses AI to adjust the focus of your images for great results every time.
How does the new iPhone SE compare to the original model?
The new iPhone SE builds on the principle of the first model – using the best bits of the iPhone range to create a new phone that is amazing value for money and accessible for everyone.
With Wireless charging and the fastest processor possible it is certainly an upgrade on many fronts, but it keeps the same low RRP as the original SE from 5 years ago. The rest of the mobile phone industry has gradually got more expensive so that is a huge commitment from Apple.
