Three don’t have a release date for the Motorola Razr just yet. One thing is sure – it will be very expensive when it first launches, so waiting a short while is a good idea.

Why is everyone so excited about the Motorola Razr?
The original Razr phone was a groundbreaking device that bought style, convenience and sleek sophistication to a market dominated by clumsy candy bar phones with garish covers and tinny ringtones. And it was a flip phone which instantly made it cool.

Does the Motorola Razr support 5G?
The standard Razr is a 4G phone, but in 2020 released the second generation with 5G. Powered by a Snapdragon 765 with 8GB RAM, it is be more modern and even more usable than the 4G model. It was first developed for the Chinese and American markets, but you can now get it in the UK too.
The Razr does things different
Motorola isn’t afraid to break the mould, and the Razr certainly doesn’t play it safe.
First off, there is the full length, foldable screen which introduces an entirely new form factor to your browsing. Expect unique games, apps and experiences.
Second, power. Motorola have made a bold choice but choosing the latest SnapDragon 600 series processor to power their new flagship. This excellent, efficient processor is usually considered “mid-range”, but we think it is a work of genius. Less processing power means more battery power, and honestly that is more important.
Are world events affecting the Razr launch?
We haven’t heard anything for sure, but it is safe to say that the Corona Virus emergency is affecting launches and logistics across the globe. Be prepared to wait a little longer.
How many times can you fold and unfold the Razr screen?
The key part of the phone is of course the innovative folding screen, so how long will it last in the real world? Motorola (Lenovo) tested it extensively before launch, rating it enough folds to last the life of the phone, but so far that hasn’t been independently confirmed.
CNET gave it a go with the innovatively named “FoldBot” – a device used by the insurance and warranty industry to test the hinges of the new generation of folding phones. Unfortunately the machine, built for the Samsung Galaxy Fold, wasn’t 100% compatible with the Razr phone. They did, however, manage 27000 folds before the machine gave up. So it’s good news – the hinge on the Razr phone outlasted the machine built to break it!
