Three have launched their 4G rollout in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Reading. The rollout will speed up into the New Year, and by the end of Q1 2014 all Three customers with a 4G-Ready handset in a 4G connected area will have access to astounding 4G speeds. We'll keep you updated on this exciting event, so keep your eyes peeled!
The network that brought you the fastest 3G speeds in the UK are now stepping it up a gear, without stepping up the price. By January, more than 1.5 million Three customers can enjoy the super-fast speeds of 4G for the same price of their 3G coverage! Unlike other networks, Three will not expect you to change your plan, SIM or handset. The switch couldn’t be easier – one simple software update for your 4G capable phone and you’re away. No hassle, no charges, no better value!
What’s more Three have once again set themselves apart from their rivals by offering unlimited 4G data for all! Three, a network who have always proved themselves to be leaders when it comes to mobile internet browsing, have committed to giving customers a truly unrestricted 4G experience. Stream content, download and browse till you’re full with all-you-can-eat data and no extra charges, all at a blistering speed of up to 14mb per second!
The first lucky locations to receive 4G coverage starting now are Birmingham, London, Manchester and Reading. Before the end of 2013, this will include Dudley, Oldham, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton. And it gets even better- over the course of 2014 Three will add another 42 towns and cities to their 4G coverage: Aberdeen, Blackpool, Bolton, Bournemouth, Bradford, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Dundee, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Gloucester, Huddersfield, Ipswich, Kingston Upon Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Luton, Milton Keynes, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northampton, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Peterborough, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Preston, Sheffield, Slough, Southampton, Southend On Sea, Stoke On Trent, Stockport, Swindon, Watford and York. That's 50 towns and cities by the end of the 2014!
Eventually the UK will be looking at a whopping 98% coverage, meaning that you can have 4G wherever you are, whenever you want. What’s more, Three’s huge range of all the latest handsets means there’s something for anyone eagerly awaiting super-speedy 4G! So why not make the switch to 4G with the network that was built for the internet.
