The HTC Wildfire S Black - Refurbished on 3
- Much improved version of the original Wildfire
- Sleek and stylish with a clear screen and no hardware buttons
- Perfect first smartphone and great on a budget
- Effortless social networking with FriendStream
Step up and take a look at the HTC Wildfire S from 3, the new and improved version of the original hugely popular Wildfire. This stunning little phone is becoming a best seller, and no wonder!
Whilst the original was a fantastic choice for a first smartphone, the Wildfire S is even better. Where the Wildfire was lightweight and pocket-sized, the Wildfire S has been streamlined without sacrificing on screen size, and now weighs even less! The original had an intuitive user interface powered by Android, but the Wildfire S has gone one better - the HTC Sense user interface has been made even slicker and easier to use, and Android has boosted up from version 2.1 to version 2.3! That means faster and smoother navigation, better battery life and an all-round improved experience!
Our favourite features of the original Wildfire have been retained and given that extra tweak for the Wildfire S. It feels solid and secure and HTC have removed the buttons to give an even more elegant appearance. The Wildfire S still has all that excellent Facebook connectivity: you can tag the photos you take with the 5 megapixel camera before uploading them, and it has other neat features like the ability to see a friend's facebook status when they call you. On top of all this, you can access some of the coolest apps and games around straight from the Android Marketplace.
Perhaps the best feature of the Wildfire S, and the biggest improvement over the original, is its improved screen resolution at 320x480 pixels. No need to squint when you're browsing the web or checking your emails - you can enjoy perfect screen clarity for a really great media experience.
It's time for the original Wildfire to hand over its "best first smartphone" crown! The Three HTC Wildfire S is better, faster and stronger, the perfect choice for budget-savvy shoppers!

"Recently I’ve been using a phone with a much larger screen, so in comparison the screen size of the Wildfire S feels small. Having said that, all the apps that I want to run work perfectly well on the Wildfire S just as on other Android phones, so I am pleased with its performance in that respect.
The 5 megapixel camera is pretty good: much better than on the original Wildfire, with sharper colours. The pictures look good on my computer screen too, and are certainly in the same league as photos taken on more expensive smartphones.
On the whole I like the Wildfire S, and for £15 a month, I think its good value for what you get."
