;DETLIKE; HTC Wildfire - why we like it
  • A great value smartphone with impressive build quality and performance
  • Android OS lets you customise your Wildfire to suit your mood and style
  • Access to the Android Market and thousands of great apps
  • Affordable power - the Wildfire's impressive features come at a discount price
;DETOVER;

Little brother to the HTC Desire, the 3 HTC Wildfire is an update that downsizes on price but keeps most of the features that made the Desire so great. In fact, we'd go as far as to say it's one of the best value smartphones around. Smaller and lighter, the HTC Wildfire is a great little smartphone that packs a lot of punch.

The Wildfire hands all the power over to you - it even takes its name from a Facebook poll! Its innovative Sense user interface gives you complete customising control over up to seven homescreens, and their applications and widgets, and you'll get all the great customisation and control that you expect from any Android phone.

The Wildfire caters to your needs, especially if you're a fan of social networking! With Facebook, Twitter and Flickr loaded as standard, you can instantly keep updated on all the gossip from your family and friends. Found that new must-have app? Send it direct to your friends with an app-sharing widget. The Wildfire will even integrate your contacts to make getting in contact - by any method - even easier. You can even pin contacts to your homescreen, giving you instant communication at your fingertip. The 3G connection means you can effortlessly browse the web as you go.

With its Android 2.1 operating system, the Wildfire is compatible with Google Maps, and its in-built GPS means that this handy phone can help you out of a tight spot as a fully functional Sat Nav. It also boasts a 5 mega-pixel camera with smile detection, a music player and FM radio, and it is Wi-Fi enabled to allow you to connect to a hotspot or home network and browse the web without using any of your data allowance!

The feature-packed Three HTC Wildfire easily holds its own against other comparable handsets, and is by far the best value for money of any of the smartphones. If like us, you enjoy keeping up with all the latest news, gossip and photos from your friends, you will find this affordable gem practically irresistible!

To start with some people who have rated the HTC Wildfire obviously can't use this phone properly.I think the fact that you need to switch on the phone when you want to use it is a good idea, because when its off your not wasting the battery power or calling numbers by mistake. This is my first smart phone and I have found it so easy to use. The size of the touch screen is great it does what you want when you want it to. Why anyone would find this difficult to use is crazy. I use my wildfire for utube,facebook sending emails watching movies listing playing games and just about anything you can think of that you use your phone for. The camera's great 5mp is plenty good enough. The visuals are bloody good,nice and clear so why people are saying its blurry is madness it is far from it.HTC wildfire is a wonderful phone as far as I'm concerned, I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for a good easy to use but not basic phone. 10 out of 10

I find it easy to use and add contacts to addresses and organise diary on it. Works even when hands are cold unlike one samsung I had. You can turn phone around to read info instead of traditional way. It is light to carry MINUS slow to react to internet can run away with battery if apps are running charging it everyday with them, but unused and switched off the ones you don't need then a great phone.

Good entry-level smartphone; no more no less. Negatives: you have to physically switch on when screen is off, it is too small for a smartphone in terms of length, although it's width may make up for this. You have to leave it on for it's alarm to wake, and with all the problems regarding mobile radiation, especially with phones close to a human head, this is especially worrying, because if you sleep with it close by... The chassis below the screen is a third the size of the screen, which gives the impression you've been ripped and why didn't they make the screen bigger and almost the same size of the whole phone? Internet and Youtube takes too long and is not clear. Swiping your finger to switch off the alarm does not always work (annoying when waking up!). Positives: vibrant colours, good-looking metallic phone, clear visuals, clear sound - That's it.
