Overview
;DETOVER;
Connecting to the internet away from home has always been possible, however it’s also always been notoriously difficult, expensive and slow – well not any more!
The ZTE MF112 USB Stick Modem gives you to access to broadband speed internet (up to 7.2Mb/s) wherever you are, whether at home on your PC or on the road with your laptop.
With the ZTE MF112 USB Stick Modem there’s no messing about with finding a Wi-fi hotspot or Ethernet connection, you can be half way up a mountain or right in the middle of a city. Simply plug the modem into your laptop or PC's USB port and you’ve got an instant super-fast (and I mean super-fast) internet connection.

I have given this a rating of 3 stars because the modem is sold as a 7.2mbps megabits per second device.
I have five bars connection regularly and when test my speeds at speedtest dot net, my average download speeds vary between 1mbps and 4mbps.
When you buy a car which is advertised as fast and a top speed of 72 miles per hour and it regularly could only do between 10 miles per hour and 40 miles per hour you would not be happy would you?.
This modem is well designed and easy to use. You just plug in and go, an excellent design from three. It is a credit to the designers for ease of use. It is also reliable.
It is my personal opinion that I think this modem can go well up to the 7.2mbps if the provider allowed it to.
All providers have the option of throttling your speed when you connect and limiting the actual top speed of your modem. Which sucks! especially if you have bought a racing car and it is limited by the car having a speed limiter on it because the provider wants to allow other cars on the same driving track as you and you can sometimes pass people at 40 miles per hour and your car has the ability to go up to 72 miles per hour, and you are in the crowded lane somewhere between 10 mph and 40mph cars.
I paid more money for better speed and did not expect a car with a top speed of averaging between 10mph and 40 plus mph.
All the above is my personal opinion. but I am a long and experienced user from the 1985 with networks.

I am a mile from 3 mast and although the coverage map said outdoor would be good and indoor struggle its always been quick (over 1mbps+ download) even though there are some large buildings between my house and the mast, including a large church. The installation was a breeze and the experience both indoor and at other locations while travelling has been great. In use with Asus netbook.

I've recently signed up on an 18 month contract after suffering terrible problems with BT's broadband (I'm 7 miles from the exchange). I was getting around 60Kb/s with BT (when I could get a connection) and with 3 I'm getting 1.1Mb/s. My local mast is a few miles away so I'm very pleased with the speed of the modem.
